Thumbs up Rebuilding my read (drum) brake...

I'm pulling my rear wheel to rebuild my rear brake tonight since my shoe pads are worn. Besides oiling the chain, is there anything else I should do?

If you're going to expose the guts anyway, I'd put new springs in and lube the pivots (assuming your design uses a shoe pivot) if I were you.

Do you have the shop manual? There should be an ID specification to check for drum wear. I know it is unlikely, drums last forever, but worth checking.
