RHD & LHD Versions of a Same Car-- Do Owners Get The Same Experience???
So I was watching Top Gear's video of a Ferrari 360CS vs. a Porsche GT3RS, both LHD in Germany but available in RHD for RHD countries. So I was wondering-- do RHD versions provide the same experience as their LHD siblings? Your thoughts???
ive been in england for the past couple of months.. got a chance to drive some RHD cars..
its definitely weird to get used to at first, but I believe its the same experience, as the trannies are in the same pattern, ie upper left for 1st, upper right for 5th, you just need to shift with your left hand. once you adjust, it becomes the same thing

You know, if cars were designed to RHD originally and they didn't switch the shift pattern when switched to LHD...
That would explain the 4-->2 mis-shift.
Think about it. RHD... rowing through the gears... what's the most natural and quickest movement? Where are your biggest muscles? Pulling in towards your body as you shift up through gears!
But with our LHD seating and a gear box that they didn't mirror-image... it's no wonder that so many people 4--> 2 mis-shift.
IS THERE A SINGLE RHD WHO HAS DONE THE 4-->2 MIS-SHIFT?

Of course, unless you're a driver of a LHD car just prior to switching to RHD (or vice versa).
For people who have driven one or the other all their lives there should be no difference in the driver experience IMO.
