Maybe you two should meet up and shoot it out. That way one of you has the satisfaction of knowing the other talked better than they could shoot.

I'm thinking high noon sounds about right.

If you are a CHL holder in TX I don't understand why you are rolling around with your pistol WITHOUT a chambered round unless you just don't know what you are doing. In any real defensive situation chances are you aren't going have time to rack the slide. They teach you this when you are in any CHL class. Furthermore, what you did in this situation was completely stupid and you need to go back to class and realize what that gun is really for, certainly not this situation. Very very stupid and you are a grown man. You don't pull that thing out unless your life is in danger from a weapon or physical threats to harm/kill you.

Go ask any cop and explain that you "chambered" a round and got out of your car for a road rage incident that you could have completely avoided. Any cop with sense would tell you that you acted like a phucktard. You give the rest of us CHL holders a bad name.
I partially agree and partially disagree. The way he reacted to the situation as a whole may have been stupid (No offense QuickAG, I am waaaaaaay the pot calling the kettle black here), but his use of the gun only came into effect when the other guy approached him in a threatening manner. You may be right that he didn't follow standard practices for self defense but he showed restraint and did not do anything excessive with the gun from what I can tell.

Am I missing something?

Tommy, you're a dipshit. The other guy never saw the gun and I never got out of my car until we rolled into the parking lot a few minutes later at which point I had put the gun away. The only time the guy would have seen my gun was if I was shooting him. Can you read?

After he got done RAMMING my Yukon and I locked my brakes up to bring the vehicles to a stop, he jumps out of his car and walks fast up to my window. Would that be threatening to you, Tommy? Would that possibly warrant the use of a gun if he also had a deadly weapon in his hand, Tommy? You're such a phuck stick, Tommy. Once, I realized he didn't have a gun and was just talking shit, I kept my gun in my lap and out of sight. He never saw it.

If you are in a bad enough situation in a vehicle to not have time to chamber a round before discharging the firearm, you have much bigger problems to worry about. My logic to not keep a round chambered is the risk of injury or death to an innocent party is greater with my gun in my glovebox with a round chambered than to not have it chambered as an extra measure of security and safety. If I need that extra second to chamber the round and it results in my death because I didn't have that one extra second, then oh well. If you choose to keep a round chambered, that is your choice, but it's not wrong to not have a round chambered unless you're a cop or someone who has a very high probability of needing to use his weapon at some point in his life.

Learn to read and go F yourself while you're at it.

Wow, some people here need to chill! I get mad/upset too when people cut me off/go slow/honk their horns/drive like idiots/etc..., but I usually get over it pretty quick. Life's too short to worry about other peoples stupidity!
