Default Rx-8 and G35

So consider this.... I'm looking to get a new car. Why do I ask about these cars here? Well, I've always held the S2000 as the yardstick that I measure cars by (well, cars in my pricerange, of course). A sweet, sweet car that has always completely impressed me with it's performance and build quality. I own an MR2 Spyder currently, and can't live another 4+ years with a convertible as my daily driver. Too noisy, gets too dirty, etc. Y'all probably know what I'm talking about.

If Honda made an S2000 coupe, I'd be on the list in a heartbeat. But they don't... So I have to consider other coupes. I've narrowed it down to those 2 (G35, RX-8). The Z got dropped because my wife owns one, so I already have access to one of those. I try not to let her know about redlining it too much, hehe

So anyways, if anyone has ever driven one, tell me your impressions of them. I've driven the G, going to test drive the 8 this weekend. I'm really gonna miss the droptop.... maybe when I pay it off I'll go buy an Elise or an S2K for a weekend toy.

RX-8 vs G35 coupe is an easy choice for me. I say G35 coupe....looks decent, great engine (torque), great handles. I don't really trust the rotary (yet), and I'd be pissed if I got the RX-8 and the Mazdaspeed RX-8 comes out a few months later......
