RX7 FD anyone?
Wouldn't mind having an RX7...I'd just be worried about motor problems.
I'd definitely have one right now if it wasn't for all the "problems" the car supposedly has. In the meantime, I'll just live through my friend's 500HP RX7.

i would love to have one,
i mean, who doesn't like this car.
the design is a little dated yet still one of the best out there.
fast and nimble, bad ass.
i can afford one, but i just can't afford to keep one,
too much repair and maintenance,
it'll kill me.

I'm with all the other responses so far. I absolutely love the FD RX7. It looks badass, is fast, handles awesome, has great aftermarket support, and that turbo is such a thrill. I gave them very serious consideration before buying my Supra, and looked at them again before buying my S2000. In the end, I decided not to buy one because of the relatively high maintenance costs - my cars are generally daily drivers, and I don't want something that could be finicky. If I ever buy a second track/project car, though, the RX7 is at the very top of the list.

When I get to the point where I can't keep the S (Hopefully that won't really happen) I am going to get an FD and work on it. Excellent platform to start with if you want to make the ultimate touge (mountain pass) car. Just don't go single turbo if you want a road racer. Single turbos are great for 1/4 and top speed, but those big turbos tend to jolt the car when the boost starts to make power making the car very unstable in the corners. There are many cars I like, but few I love. Of course the S2000 is one of them, but so is the RX7 3rd gen. Lightweight, powerful, rear wheel drive limited slip, quick steering. Very hard to beat in racing. Of the jap sports cars that were sold in the states this is probably the second fastest at road racing stock vs stock. Of course the all mighty NSX is the fastest, but how many of us can afford NSXs? Oh well that's just my take, sorry I ran on for a long time.
Have you seen the Best Motoring video with the Tsukuba stock cars review/battle between the
RX-7 RS (280ps, 1280kg),
NSX S (280ps, 1320kg),
NSX S-Zero (280ps, 1270kg),
R34 GTR (280ps, 1560kg),
R33 GTR (280ps, 1530kg), etc.
Lancer GSR EVO 5 (280ps, 1360kg)
Lancer RS EVO 5 (280ps, 1260kg)
(of course these 280 horsepower numbers are the Japanese limit on papers
)
Guess, who won the fastest car title ...
The RX-7 was the fastest. It beat the NSX S and NSX S-Zero easy. The second place was for the R34 GTR
