S2000 Special Edition?
I wonder will there be a Button edition S2000? Since there is no more NSX.
Will this trigger an early introduction of the new NSX with the podium win for Honda?
What will Honda do now to celebrate?

I thought they intended to give a preview of the next NSX (or NSX successor, such as it may be) shortly after their first F1 win since their return. Hopefully they will - should be interesting.

Design of the next NSX is stuck in "analysis paralysis," getting changed daily by group-think and conflicting "hard" requirements. CEO has mandated a V10 (no longer any relation to any racing series), while American Honda (Acura) stands firm with the ridiculous requirement that it carry TWO golf bags. The latter means it must be front-engine. Meanwhile, Honda seems bizarrely enamored of SH-AWD, which is STILL under consideration. And of course, as with EVERY Honda model, overriding corporate culture mandates that it achieve best-in-class mileage.
Unless a true leader steps in with a singular vision and says "build it," the next sports car from Acura will end up being a glorified RL: designed to please everyone and satisfying no one.

Still, a company that builds a car like the S2000 may just have the cajones to build an NSX true to the original. A 911 can carry two golf bags, but only in the rear seat. I can't think of any other competing sports car that can do that except a Vette, and that's competing in a completely different (lower) price category. Seems like a silly request to me. The passenger seat is for the golf bag - everyone knows that!
That said, my Dad's NSX(es) were pretty terrible for going on trips. We went skiing in one, one time, and had a hard time getting just our ski boots in the trunk, along with all of our clothes (loose, not even in bags). That's why they need to add a small trunk up front, next to the spare tire.
