S2000 or STi?

I like plenty of other cars, as long as they are true sports cars (sadly, there aren't many)
Also, when you start driving a viper ACR, then I'll stop calling you out on your "I'm awesome b/c I drive real sports cars" attitude.
The STi was also one of my considerations when I was shopping for a new car.
I think the Subaru has more potential for outright speed, but RWD was a big factor for me. When I raced open-wheels they were always RWD and that's what I was most comfortable with and had the most fun in.
In the end the STi fell out of favor for me because of AWD and I was deciding between the S2000 and 350Z. I drove both and enjoyed the S2000 more.
In my opinion, fun factor doesn't always correlate with outright performance numbers. Everyone has different tastes, drive both for an hour and see which one you enjoy more...either is a great car, you'll be happy with whichever one you choose.

I own both cars, and the real answer is you need them both!
The S2000, though significantly slower, is much more fun and rewarding to drive. It will cost more to mod the S2000 as compared to the STI, but if you are going for a 400+ whp build on either car anyway, then go with the S2000.

Performance
IMO, The S2000 is more of a driver's car. If you're still stuck in the "who makes the most power" stage of driver development, get the STi.
If you have evolved to the "skill > power" stage of driver development, get the S2K.
Practicality
The STi is having your cake and eating it too. You can bring 3 friends along and have more cargo capacity.

We got an S2K for me and well prolly pick up an sti for Monica within the next year or so, best of both worlds
I like the S better personally its more fun. I think anyone whos driven both cars wouldnt argue that.
I beleive the STI is substancially quicker from the factory though.
$4$ for performance wise the S wins I think. For the same price of an STI you could get a S2K and turbo it giving it the advantage over the beefier 4WD
These are not facts just my opinions. I hope you make the choice that is right 4 you and makes you happy

[QUOTE=lacrosseks29,Nov 16 2008, 03:15 PM] i love the s2k and sti. both of my good friends have and sti and a s2k and i love driving them both. i need help deciding which one i should get. Which one has a better engine with more potential? If i turbo a s2k will it beat a sti with a 30r or 35r? Which one would be cheaper to have it hold around 400whp or more? feel free to discuss other features. all posts will be appreciated. THanks.
PS: i don;t care about trunk room, winter season, two seats, or any stuff like that. Right now i only care about the performance of aftermarket mods for these cars. and im not buying new so the 08 sti is most defiantly out of the question, and cause its ugly.
Kinda my basic question is if i turboed a s2k and put a larger turbo in a sti- which would be a faster, more reliable, and overall a better car in terms of

get sti, if you want a lesser car.
