I see you argue this point all the time. Sounds like you're jealous that "dumbass kids" are driving the same car you are. Some are dumbasses, you are correct - this is usually judged by how they mod their car (rice). However, I've seen a lot of people my age (19) that show true care for their s2000's and love driving them as much as I do, and hope you do as well. Negativity gets you nowhere on an internet car forum... except for helping you attract internet car forum enemies.

 

Yes, I am very jealous that mommy and daddy can buy young idiots cars. I should feel like shit because my parents had enough sense to not buy me a nice car and focus my energy on an education -- which of course paid off.

Oh no#! The idiot kids won't like me! This forums gets worse by the year -- more so because the price of used S2000's is low enough for dumb ass kids to afford. Simple really.

I know of several Boxster owners who could afford a GT3 with the change in their pocket let alone a base 997. The Boxster S is a very good vehicle and will beat the 996 around some tracks. I can afford the 911 or the Boxster but chose the S2000 because it was the most fun. My wife could afford either the 911 or the Boxster and she chose a used 968 because she hates the look of the Boxster and the 911 cabriolet.

That said, a 97 or 98 Boxster would not be my choice, but this is an S2000 board.
