Default S2000 vs Wrx

Which would you buy 2005 S2000 for 15000$ I believe 70000km or 2002 Subaru Wrx for 13000$ and I believe 80000kms? Also if I were to get the S2000 I would need to buy another car for a winter beater. Thanks

I would buy the s2k unless I needed the extra space, and was looking at sever winter conditions. I would not drive an s2k in snow without snow tires. I would expect it to do about the same in the snow as my Miata, which was very well with snow tires, and absolutely terrible without.

The cars are different enough that you decision should be easy once you look at what you need the car to do, and what you want the car to do.

S2k hands down, Bugeye WRXs are infamous for their transmissions being made with glass and straws. Granted every car has its weaknesses and the s2k isn't perfect either but it is much more reliable in my experience.

The Bugeyes only got that image from dumb asses doing the 1st gear launch improperly. The transmission can handle a good amount of power, but you can't launch them like you would a FWD or RWD vehicle. In my 3 years of ownership of the silver Bugeye below, I never blew the tranny. My brother in-law who now owns the vehicle has also never had any issues as well. He's putting down about 280whp and the tranny has held up fine.
