the '06's will not be appreciably more...just the usual yearly increase...
so basically yes it will be close to $50k, but that is nothing new...you will still be able to get a stripped model for ~$42k if you don't want any options...

I don't see why people are comparing a Z4 3.0 to an S2000 when it's more expensive, and esp. when the 2.5 is in the same price range. For the price of a 3.0, I'd definitely get a Boxster (even base model) over that Z4.

I have driven both and think they are equally great cars, but the S is my chioce obviously. Girls love BMWs and that is my personal experience. Check them both out and see what you think.

no offense to women out there but do not listen to your wife. This is the reason women traditionally aren't respected when it comes to car-culture, most are automatically inclined towards "status" cars such as a BMW despite performance, the Z4 could be the slowest thing on earth and women would still flock to it...

I own both cars ... a 3.0 Z4 and a S2000. Both are wonderful cars. I drive the S and my wife drives the Z4. It's a matter of preference. You really need to test drive both and then decide for yourself.
buy them both... keep the S for yourself!

I don't know if it's just me, but every time I see someone driving a Z4, they're all very sad for some reason. Also it looks like they're bending over and taking a dookie cause they're slouching and I can barely see anything. Kind of weird looking... I just noticed that today

I have a permanent smile affixed to my face while driving my Z...so did the woman in her's last week as we weaved through xpressway traffic together...
