i have a 93 Del sol and i was wondering if i the S2k series 5 lug conversion would fit on my del sol cause i really dont want to pay some kid in cail 3 grand for itr conversion to get 5 lug.

1. no, s2k 5 lug won't bolt up to your del sol. completely different chassis,not to mention fwd vs rwd
2. itr 5 lug conversions do not go for 3grand. i sold mine for 900

 

i know they are a different chassis, but the ITR is hard to find plus expensive.

i thought the S2K hubs, and brakes would be better for high HP. but i guess that wont work.

I've heard of people doing a 4/5th gen prelude knuckle swap. Cheaper than going ITR. Might need to do some research on that one. If you don't mind me asking, why do you need 5 lug? Aside from balla status, Several of my friends have k20 swaps (one boosted) and they're still on the 4x100 civic/teg knuckles with no problems. If you're looking for improved braking, why not just go for a big brake upgrade on your existing, it will probably be cheaper bc after you calculate labor, parts, and having to do an alignment if you swap the knuckles. cause i want to convert my Del Sol in to a tiny S2k with the taillights, and 98 spec ITR rims look sick as FU*( i think, and repaint my del sol Carnival Yellow (same yellow as ITR just cheaper)

BTW if you didnt read my intro i have a ITR B18c in a Del Sol, i pull on some of the early S2ks in my home town so i am happy with my car.

 

just buy an s2k.

 

cause i'm paying for school to be a Diesel Mechanic, at the local College, and i am poor, my del sol is paid off so i dont have to worry about the car payment, and i think Targa top is cooler than Convertiable.

just save your money. don't spend anything except maintenance on your del sol. Trust me. In a few years, you'll be able to pick up an S2000 for almost the same amount of money your gonna spend right now. Plus, if you try and sell a modified Del Sol, its going to be extremely hard.

 

Yea I hate Convertiables, too.
