Default S2K VS C5/C6

Guys,
How does the S compare with the c5/c6 vettes? obivouosly horspower/acceleration are obvious, but I'm more concerned with handling features. I was thinking that they were pretty equal in that category.. am I wrong in thinking so?
Thanks

Translation:

Gentleman, the car which you are inquiring about, the S2000, wins the sanctioned timed automobile races fairly regularly. Thank you!

More to the point, the C5 should not even be in this comparison. It is a very nice car but does not compair well with either. The C6 obviously handles very well especially with the sport suspension. However, it is not near as light or nimble as the S and would have to use its greater HP and torque to make up the difference, if it can.

Thanks guys.. that's what I thought. i have a friend that is a chevy salesman and swears by that the c6 will outhandle the S.. He's one of those salesguys that thinks the cars that he sells are the best.. he swears by GM/Chevy..but doesn't really know much about cars.. but the thing that got me was that he said one of his friends is a Honda salesman and when he told the honda guy that i claimed my S would handle or even outhandle a vette, he says the honda guy laughed and said i must be smoking crack if i thought i could out handle a vette..
that's the one thing i hate about some salesmen, they hardly seem to know anything about the cars they sell - and even less about other cars in the market..
thanks again for confirming this.

Most Chevy salesman that I have tried to do business with seem to believe the C6 is the only car on the road. It can do anything and whip anyone. The Z06 is one hell of a bargain performance machine as is the C6 but it isn't to the automotive world what the old stingrays were back in their day. I did have money down on a Z06 which was a year wait at the time but the Chevy dealers help convince me that I don't want to deal with the Chevy dealerships. I like their trucks and some of their SUVs but they can't sale $50k - $70k + cars worth a crap.

I don't know all the specifics and junk but being I own both and drive both..... The S will dust the C6 in autocross!

Okay, maybe it won't dust it, but it'll do its damnedest....

wouldnt the power of the C6 let it catch up on the straight aways on autocrosses? or do we just bump them like GT4?

i think you can have a complete idiot behind the wheel of the C6 and he will still win... not by much (since he is a complete idot) but yes he will still win.
