S5 v. 335xi
So, for my next DD I've been thinking Cayman S, the new Z4M, or god knows what will be out by the end of 2009 (when my lease expires on the s).
HOWEVER. There is a part of me that says spend less on the car bring my retirement age down a few years, get something more practical & comfortable for the brutal, long winters (see my sig, lol). Of course, I'd need something sporty, if not a true sports car.
I know the 335xi is a good bet. However, the Audi's looks are downright sexy and that interior...my god it's nice. There's also an Audi dealer a few minutes from my house and on the way to work, in the event I pay the price for going German.
Which one would you go with, & why? I haven't driven either of these things yet, but I assume the 335 is the athlete and the S5 more of the pimp.

Drive both and see how they are. Both offer the same in terms of performance but I would be a little cautious with the 335xi. I've heard there are a few issues with cooling. I would honestly go with the S5. I've owned a BMW and I would like to try an Audi for a change.
I really liked the S5, smooth v8, B&O sound system, etc., but it's close to $60K, and they're having production issues, so latest I've heard is 4-6 month delays.
The $60K price point is going to be filled with cars from the S5, to the upcoming Lexus IS-F, and moderately equipped M3 sedans. So there's a lot to choose from.

If $$$ isn't your biggest concern, then S5, without question. From what I've read, it's a great drive. And, it looks fantastic. 335xi, OTOH, looks mediocre, at best, and even awkward from some angles.
