Shear resistance of 5x114.3 vs 5x100 is the ratio of the diameters of the bolt pattern. In other words, the 114.3 is 14.3% better at shear resistance than a 100. However, assuming equal size studs/threads, they would have equal clamping force on the wheel/hub, which is really where the strength is found. The only time your bolts/lugs are in full/direct shear is when they aren't fully tightened - otherwise, the main loading on them is distributed throughout the entire bolted joint rather than just the bolts themselves.
