As my daily driver I am getting rid of the piece of crap Dodge Magnum, the wife wants a Mini Cooper S. Just want to get your thoughts on this car. I have no knowledge of the car at all.

a daily drive is also lo cost so you dont feel that bad when its gets door dings in a parking lot. reliable would help too
as a hatchy it would have lots of room for haling things

 

If you look at those edmund rating the Cooper S is more reliable then the 2002 Civic. Rating of 8.6 for the civic and the rating for the Cooper is 8.8. Civic is just boring looking also. Boring to drive in my opinion.

The Mini Clubman is coming too - its longer and will have some more utility than a normal Mini. Might want to consider that. Overall, Minis are very popular and fun to drive. Imo its not a girl's car, contrary to what jah states. They are really fun to drive if you can get over the interior.



Another option maybe a Vovo C30 - the higher trim level is a great car worth looking into.

 

The Mini Cooper is a girl's car like a MX5 and a Boxster are girls' cars.



They are insanely fun and actually pretty useful with the hatch.

 

To each there own, as for a girls car. It's funny you mention that, I get bugged at work that I'm always driving the wife's car. Meaning I'm driving a women's car (S2000).

 

That Volvo C30 is ugly. The interior is absolutely horrible. I'm not a huge Volvo fan.

i agree with Ckit, Cooper is a insanely fun car, and the hatch with the fold down seats are really useful
