Bad reasons, it costs too damn much and you can't fold the top down.

Buying a new NSX is a completely different ballgame than buying a early to mid 90s NSX. I looked at a 2003 last week.
The thing is WHY do you want the NSX? It has be be an emotional decision because there is rationally almost no reason to. If you just want the fastest Japanese sports car, then fine. If you want the reliability, then fine. But there are many other fun and faster cars out there for the money.
The Z06, Viper, 911, and other cars will all hand an NSX it's ass for less money. It just doesn't make a lot of sense from a performance perspective.
It is certainly a beautiful vehicle though. The one I looked at was the nice blue... but I just couldn't stand the price. And 276HP, I don't care HOW it handles, is not how I want to spend $90k. If you are spending that much money on a car, it should be a visceral experience, and an intensely emotional one. Drop the hammer in a Viper, or a Porsche GT3 then get back to us.

Hondo - are you really in falluja iraq?
I would lease a new NSX like KaiWang and Fanman mentioned.....the current lease $ is pretty low for a car with an $80k+ sticker price.
Ya, there are faster cars for cheaper, but if that was the goal, you could get a 1972 Nova..... NSX is the entire package....of course i have never even driven one, so what the hell do i know?

First of all, the lease price would be equavalent of him leasing a $50K car. So it would be like him comparing an NSX to an M3, or SLK, or S4. Not an 911 or Viper ($80K+). In that catagory it makes tremendous sense. Also a new 911 will not "hand it it's ass" in any measuable performance category. This coming from a former 911 owner, and once perspective NSX owner. The performance is quite similar. Honestly the $90K pricetag is a joke, but if it was 30% off MSRP I would think about it.

agreed, $799/mo lease is for a $50k car. if a 911 GT3, or even a MB E55 or SL500 had a $799/mo lease deal there'll be 2 mile lines to get one.
yes there are other choices, but hey its your hardearned $; get what u want. nsx does look 'exotic' and many ppl mistake it as a ferrari.
02+ has fixed headlights. 6sp=290HP, 4 sp auto=262HP
if u really want to buy, acura usually has $10k incentive beginning ~sept. and u can get a new leftover for around $73k. if u r really savvy u could work out a lease deal w/ that cap cost and current money factor.

isn't that awful that a $90k NSX has a 4 speed automatic, but you can get a 5 speed automoatic in a freak ford exploder!
