Actually the Solstice will be the top SSB car this year and win the runoffs, anyone that knows anything has seen it. Pontiac offers a special ZOK (or similar named) version that was specifically desgined to run in SSB with different spec suspension/diff/swaybars etc. the car is sold by dealers (if you know how to get it) which makes it legal for the class. So they have the edge this year.

A few people i know that jumped the gun running nationally this year with the 2006 MX-5 have already decided to sell it and go for the ZOK simply because of the edge the ZOK has. If Pontiac hadnt released that model the 2006 MX-5 would have dominated.

Many people seem to think the Solstice is a poser that can't handle well. Talk and speculation is fun, but the track shows what a car can really do. We'll see what it can do.
I hope it does well. I'm not a GM "fan", but its always cool to see a new player challenge the ranks. Kinda like the CTS-V doing well against the 996's, 997's, vipers, etc. The new Mustang has done ok too. Of course all these cars in full race trim are a "little" different than when on the street. I think the Sol will look sweet out on the track.

Has a picture too.

You can get your own Solstice racer by ordering your Solstice with the Z0K Club Sport production order option package, which includes ABS, a limited-slip differential, improved power steering cooler and the FE3 suspension option (which will be standard on the Solstice GXP).

The Solstice qualified 2nd at New Hampshire (NHIS).

Someone on the Solstice Forum said it finished 3rd in the race, the 1st for a Solstice AFAIK.
