I was on my subaru forum before my motor blew and there was so real sign of why I lost comp in 2 and 4. No ring damage or scaring.
You'll notice the comments about coming off stock tune, which voids the warranty. You'll also notice a lot of comments about tweaking suspension.
The interior build quality is also lacking.
Sure forums get a lot mor negative then the norm. However the issues raised are known design flaws, not random cases not simply owner related damages.
In my casey my legacy gt was lady driven for the first 75k, it still blew up. I later learned about all the design issues. Subaru and their performance group leave much to be desired.
Taking a stock STI to the track with a good driver can be the end of that motor. Knock city, lean and heat issues.
