Default Spec'd out a Atom. Suggestions

I have been talking with the US distributer a little bit and was able to get into the beta Atom configuator. Attached is how I spec'd mine out, I am not going to give a link to the beta configuator becuase it is not going to be release for a few weeks.

SPORT option is the first of four brake upgrades, I am going Ecotec because of price and the CA DMV's regs on special construction titles. I think it will be easier then using a non US spec motor.

Ordering this car depends on how the DMV will view it. I would have to buy it sans drivetrain so it meats the construction code and shipping codes. But it might be to turn key for them to title. If I can't get plates then I am back to buying another replica 550 spyder or cobra that has a SB100 number.

I know I have real weird tastes, I was looking at early thunderbird's today as well.

I just sold the Riot on sunday so I have a bay open and will have the cash after I finish rebuilding the Prowler into a Hiboy and sell it.

I have a chance to get in on the beta build as they have only taken orders for a few cars. At least thats what I am getting from other people who have put down orders.

Sometimes I hate living in California, they make it way to difficult to have fun with anything 2 or 4 wheeled. This is all going to come down to the DMV and I am not real up to trying to be the first person to get this by them.

Not sure if I'm supposed to spread the word or not but I read this somewhere else and I heard a rumor at work that someone where I work (Honda R&D) is trying to get Ariel's US distributor a supply of K20's from the new Civic Si. Don't know how well all that is going to work out with DBW and what not but anyway. I'd take a Honda K20 over the Ecotec any day of the week. You may want to wait to see what pans out as far as a domestic supply of K20's...

I am aware that they are trying to get the new motor, that would be best, but the price is also another 5K for the Honda which buys a lot of track time/tires.

Need to see how this play out, mabe there is something in the system already which would be near the atom, a nice used T-rex (no clue how they handle) or a decent lotus 7 replica.
