Like I said I am getting a BugEye Impreza, WRX but not sure is I want Wagon or Sedan.
My sister has a Impreza Wagon from 1997 and I am shocked at how much pep it has. Far more powerfull than my Girlfriends 2004 Neon. Its the regular Impreza without a turbo.

I really like them, and they hold thier value very well (which is a bitch for me paying $15,000 for a car that is 2 or 3 years old.

Best part is that the Subaru scene has embraces cheap ass Rota wheels which look fine, preform fine (for my needs) and as I said are dirt cheap. I think I will get a set of either flat black 15" for snows or a set of 17" painted black and use the factory as snow tires.

Love the Subie(power, handling...etc.), but I can't spend $30g and live with the looks though.

Haha, ok..

I should say that they're just less popular in areas that don't see snow..

I know this is a VERY Pro-Honda website, and rightfully so. But I see people recommend Nissan, and Toyota alot, and rightfully so, but why are the Subaru recommendations (sans the STi) few and far between?

Is there something I am missing?
Well I do not know about you but the fact that there seems to be fewer Subaru owners around where I live may be the cause !
I drove a Forester XT and was hooked by the power and utility of it and when the S is paid for I will be looking for one as replacement to the beloved 91 Nissan truck (If it was not for the Rust would still be a keeper due to the extreme reliability of it) .
Someone that lives above me has a regular Forester and saw him one day and asked how he liked his and he said he loved his. Woman at my bank has one too and she likes hers and also I asked my mechanic and he said for winter duty he can think of nothing better than a Subaru . He said the seals are bad to leak but usually taken care of the same time as a timing belt change but other than that nothing bad!

I think the Forester XT would be the ultimate sleeper. No one suspects that kind of power in a Mommy-mobile package.

Either way, Subaru's aren't discussed as much here because many people still don't know much about them.
Subaru is a small company, and many people don't know anything about them. I've owned several Subarus, and I know I will own more because the Subarus I've owned in the past have been every bit as reliable as a Toyota or Honda, just more rare and more able with AWD.

The company is very interesting, and for a while positioned itself as the iconoclastic car company that wasn't interested in mainstream sales. Anyone remember the XT? How about the SVX? The Brat? These were very unique cars that are loved by those that own them but are virtually unkown in the public concious.

Subaru's desire to stay left of center seems to have changed, and the awd and SUV craze has helped boost Subaru a lot. The company is finally maturing after over 30 years (imo) with a wider lineup of cars. Of course, the new front ends are pretty polarizing - not exactly the vanilla design that sells lots of cars.

You have many Subaru fans on this forum. Legacy GT's, Imprezas and Foresters are often mentioned in posts. I love my wife's Forester...think it's one of the best small ute's around.

My daughter has a Forester and she loves it. I get to use it sometimes when I need to get something too big to fit in the S. If I every get a second car, I'd seriously consider a Suburu.
