Default Supercharged S2K or WRX Sti

Ok, before I start, I know topics like this have been covered a ton. For one, this seems to be a special situation that I havn't seen covered before. And the search never works on this site anyways so....

Currently I have a 02 S2K thats stock. I have been thinking of either selling and adding some extra cash for an STi, or mod the S.

Plans for my S would be something like Vortech S/C, 9lb pully, T1R Test pipe and 63mm (70 if it ever comes out) exhaust, Toda Header, Comptech clutch/flywheel and AEM EMS.

For the STi it would be a TBE, Turbo Lag delete (invention by a friend) and tuning ECU for the most part. Maby a boost controller, though I don't know how it works out for the STi's.

These both have about the same amount of power after these mods, with STi being a more for a stop and S2K more for a roll.

I REALLY like having 4 seats and doors, but I don't like the econobox with phat spoiler look.

I REALLY like the looks of the S, but I don't like only 2 seats and crampted interior. You could say it factors out for each one.

Do people that see the STi always look at it like a boy racer type? What do girls think of the STi looks (lol, this one really matters)

Thanks for any help, sorry to start yet another car vs car post, but I really would like to hear some opinions before I spend 10k+

the STI wont blow up and has torque

EDIT: As we all know, the more you modify your car, the more will go wrong, especially with a motor that was never designed for forced induction. But, from what I have read, a 280-300rwhp S2K is a absolute kick in the pants to drive. If you are going to do this, make sure you rebuild the motor from the ground up with forced induction on your mind. I would do that because its different, and would handle like none other mixed with the power and a few suspension mods.

The STI on the other hand already handles great and has a turbo. I am unsure of exact numbers with the stock turbo, but I would imagine mid to low 12's could be attainable with the right fuel set up and BPU mods. The nice thing is this motor was designed for force induction and does not have to be rebuilt.

Does the S2000 blow up or something?

and I am sure I will get 200lbs+ of torque with this set up, combined with a 9k redline it will move from a stop.

In the end after modding both, sti will be unbeatable. If you want power buy sti, but if you want a beautiful car that's a blast to drive, keep your s2000.

First of all no boost controller is needed for the STi a ECU reflash is the way to go, the ECU's do not like boost controllers, also it's not as safe either.

Second just get rid of the wing, there are alot of WRX owners who would love to have your wing, so just trade trunks with someone.

From what I've been reading on the NASIOC forums, trading trunks to get rid of the STi wing is not as easy as everyone makes it out to be. Apparently the demand is not as great as it once was. Just so you know...

just offer a trunk and ask for little cash...its not that hard to trade...

Seriously.. I own both... I'd take the STi... the torque is addictive. After some coilovers and what not, all the suspension woes are gone. Boost lag? I get 18psi by 2800 rpms... is that just not good enough for you?
