I researched Superformance a few years ago, and the basic "kit" which comes as an assembled and painted body and chassis with wheels, headers, interior, etc (everything EXCEPT the motor and trans) was about $40,000 to start. Add in a few extras, motor + trans and some time (or money) to do the install and it knocks on $60k pretty quickly.

I think for those of us that don't mind doing our own wrenching, that the Factory Five Racing option is the way to go. Much cheaper. You can build a really hot FFR kit for 30-40k. That new 5.0 sounds like a great engine option. I wonder what one costs?
