I have a 1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited. It has 76,000 absolutely trouble free miles on it. It has been the most reliable, dependable vehicle that I have ever owned.

It's not as much fun to drive as my S, but if you need a SUV.....well, you decide.

I have a 4Runner myself and love it! It's also been trouble free and has great reliability.

what, nobody likes the Sequoia

I went to check out the The MDX, X5, 4-Runner and the Sequoia.

The MDX was nice but it is not feasible for tall passengers to sit in the back seat. The head would surely hit the top and the leg room is not all that great.

The X5 was way to pricey for the money. It is nice and does well but damn it is alot of money to get the 4.6

The 4-Runner is out of the question. The space I thought was worse than the MDX. Heck, I thought it was much nicer in a Pathfinder or the Infiniti model.

The Sequoia suprised me. Granted it is a large but it seems like alot more for the money.

Jason

All I've ever done with mine is to change the oil and filters every 6 to 10,000 miles, new tires at 42,000 miles and replace the timing belt as advised by Toyota at 60,000 miles.

I never imagined that it would be as good as it is. I love Honda products, but if I was going to buy another SUV there is no question that I buy a 4Runner. I was going to sell mine when the S arrived, but my wife and I decided to keep it around just because it is so reliable and dependable.

Of course, if what you really want is a minivan that looks like a truck, get one of the German or Japanese imitators.
what a maroon.

Is sheep your "secret code word for girlfriends"

This is really tough category, and u really have to provide more info. so that we can give u some useful advise.

There are sooo many SUV categories:

1. The small light duty suv: Honda CRV, Toyota Rav-4, Subaru Forester, Kia Sorento.
2. The small heavy duty suv: The Jeep liberty, Suzuki(ladder frame) Grand Vitera, Land Rover Freelander, Ford Escape, Nissan Xterra.
3. Midsize light duty: Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, Isuzu Axiom.
4. Midsize Heavy duty: Jeep GC, Toy 4-runner, Land Rover Disco, GMC envoy/trailblazer.
5. Luxury SUV: MDX, X5, ML, XC90, VW toureg(summer '03), RX300, GX470 or LX470
6. Full size SUV: Sequoia, Tahoe, Expedition, Excursion, Suburban.

See their are plenty of choices, try edmunds, or carpoint, and then list your priorites.

good luck

btw, guess why suv i would recommend

I'm suprised nobody mentioned the king of SUVs - LandCruiser. pre'98 4.5L straight sixers are cheap, big and run forever.

For the love of God. . .here we go again! While towing other rear wheel driven cars this way could be BAD, on the S2000, it's fine. The rear differential pump operates anytime the rear wheels are in motion. Unlike other RWD's that need the car to be "on" or operating mechanically.

BlackBeauty has been towing for years and years and called Honda in Torrance personally. They assured him that it was fine to do. The only warning was for clearance space as the exhaust tips could be scraped and/or damaged by traditional methods of towing. However, with Rick's (BlackBeauty's) tow dolly, it sits the car nearly at street level so that issue never becomes a concern.

SUV Best Buys: Honda Pilot/Acura MDX

If you can afford it, the X5 is very nice and its performance is second to none, but I think the MDX has a lot to offer and is much cheaper.
