I had a coworker that just dumped his ‘05. He loved the looks and the drive, but said it was a reliability nightmare. It got to the point where his wife was dropping him of more to work than he was driving himself.

Someone else says the '05 is the best of the BMW powered RR's, who knows? Well, it looks like I am getting an '05 that is quite pimping I must say! I am buying it from a Land Rover specialty shop. As soon as the paperwork is done, I'll post a picture. I thought I would look in April, but this car "fell onto my lap".
So far, the comments have been mixed on the one I am getting. A friend thought it was dope, others thought it looks like one of the Celtic's wives should be driving it. It has OEM 22's on it. I figure the 19's are for sale all the time on craigslist, so if I don't like the ride or want to go off road, I can buy another set of wheels.

Here's some pictures of the Range Rover I am buying. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Interior looks pretty sharp. Putting on a Supercharged style grill. Being shipped to me from TX in a week or so.

Gotta love that interior!

With that being said, I got a great deal on it (I paid $60k...sticker was $82k.) It had about 150 miles on it and was sold as preowned. I could not justify paying $90k+ for one, but my wife has absolutely loved it the last 6 years, and still loves driving it to this day. Still looks great and the ride is awesome. Gas mileage is horrible, but that comes with the territory.

60k miles for a 6-7 year old car is very low tho. RR's get very unreliable and expensive to fix when you start hitting higher miles.

For another first hand perspective, my 04 Discovery (granted not the same model) has had a complete new engine, new steering rack and various other bits replaced in the 6 months I've owned it. $12k in repairs. Mine had 85k when I bought it.
I bought it as a winter beater. Ooops.
