Default Test Driving The Evo MR

Just curious, has anyone driven the MR since it hit show rooms? I tired going today with my dad and the manager just wouldnt budge at all. There was a $3000 mark up making it about 38k and you had to fill out some credit reports and shit before they would let you take it out. Of course we didnt so we just test drove a preowned 03 Evo which was dissapointing. The lag in first gear was ridiculious, maybe it wasn't broken in properly.

Anyway, if you have driven the MR, please give some feed back.

you are not going to be able to test drive it unless they believe you are interested in buying THAT DAY and can PROVE that you have the resources to get one.

Anyone who would buy a MR does not want it test-driven. The dealers KNOW THIS.

It would also seem to me that anyone who would buy an MR would want to test drive it.

The dealers should KNOW THIS.

the MR is a ripoff, totally not worth the money over the regular car or the RS. Basically all we got in America was the badge and the wheels. it's also the heaviest of the 3.

depends on the dealership. I got to flog an M3, CLK 55, and S2000 solo, by myself, without a salesman riding shotgun, for an entire day. At another dealership, they wouldn't even let me test-drive an STi.

Ya, go buy a normal evo and put the extra $8K in your own upgrades.

$8k goes a looong way in Evo mods. Yours would probably beat the pants off the MR in the end.
