Looks like Scion and I'm sure Subaru are going to be aiming at S2000 owners with this one. Idk, S2000 still looks better than it I think. But an STI Subari BRZ convertible wouldn't be to shabby

No. S2000 owners are a picky bunch who won't settle for something slower and worse looking.

s2000 was designed at the outset to be a convertible. we'll see what toyobaru can do. The S is much more attractive car. Some even say timeless.

I wouldn't consider a drop top and RWD to mean "aiming at the S2000". There are plenty of cars with both that are nothing like the S -- the BRZ/FRS/GT86 included. It's probably more similar to the S than the other alternatives. We'll have to wait and see what they've managed to pull off once people have some real world experience with them.

They're not aiming at any particular car, just the natural evolution of their product.

Why would Toyota "aim" at a car that's been out of production for four years?

The BRZ/FT convertible is aimed at people that want a fun cheap convertible that has a bit of room, similar to the Mustang, Eos, Beetle, etc...

Not as sport-oriented, more fun-cruiser oriented.

I expect the hellaflush crowd will descend en masse on it.
