Great cars but they can be somewhat maintenance intensive especially if they haven't been well maitained. As long as you have the money to fix it if it breaks then I say go for it. A very comfortable performer than can serve double duty as a daily driver or weekend fun car.

I had an 01 with 19k, Black/Black. Awesome car. First mod should definatly be a short shift kit. Throws are long and spoil the experience. Beware of Carbon Build-up as this is a serious problem with these vehicles.

can't you clear out carbon build-up by romping on the motor to redline every now and then?

That is one of my many excuses for flogging the S2000 at least once a day.

DO IT! Get a CPO, not worth the headache and expense if something goes wrong. These cars are beautiful inside and out, and it is still the beat. There are now a number of faster luxury sedans, but none in my opinion are better, or even equal.

Yeah, i'm looking for one with about 40-50k in the price range of 30-40k.

What is a CPO? I've heard that term thrown around on the m5board.com forums.

How does one obtain it?
