I've seen this car for a good price, and I know there are a few owners on this forum. I'm not sure which trim it is (111R, 111S, etc), the advert doesn't say...

the main thing I'm wondering is what will be my running costs, what is likely to fail wihtin the first 2 years of ownership etc, what to look out for. I may go to see it, any advice would be appreciated.

I vaguely remember hearing the engines are prone to failure, is that valid?

Might want to post this on Lotustalk. I'm not sure what motor was in the 02 in Greece but my 2ZZ powered Elise has been pretty reliable but there are some issues with rocker arm failures etc and fuel/oil starvation on track.

The Elise was an option as well, once upon a time.

It won't be soon Marios, I always think ahead a couple years when it comes to cars, and I actually think my next car will probably be an Evo 9.

If I came into 10,000 euro I could spare, I would definitely consider picking up an Evo or an Elise (I know, two more different cars would be hard to find, but I appreciate the good things about both).

What made you decide not to go for the elise? Practicality?
