You can keep the rest, no thanks. What the hell does a 3 series has to offer me that the TL can't provide besides being rear wheel drive? Next time you see a TL try to compare the bmw 3 series interior or exterior to it. Are you crazy? The interior of the new honda civic si is more impressive.
3 series?
Thank you versionjdm, one of the few people on this thread that makes any sense. I appreciate the support. Was it the type S? If comptech would release the supercharger for us already and stop faking. I will destroy the 3 series. With my car back to stock that is. With mods he better not even rev his engine at me. That is the favorite car of paris hilton types at a mall near you. Oh!!!! LEts meet up a starbucks!!!!
3 series you got to be f-u-cking kidding me right?

...The RL is geared for the 50+ crowd...

I'm no where near 50+ and I own an RL. I bought the RL because quite honestly, the TL felt like a bloated Accord and the build quality just wasnt there.
The TL is still a great car for the price, but for the extra $10k, I'd much rather have the RL.
As for the Mugen V8, yeah, that car is badass. I wish the aftermarket segment for this car were greater, but alas it will never be considering the lack of demand. Hopefully once this car is in it's second or third year of production tuners will begin making more parts for it. Until then, I'll keep scouring my Options mags for wheel possibility and suspension choices.
Bkw I didnt make that statement, the dealerships that I went to said that. They said that the RL is geared for the 50+ crowd. Hence the reason that honda doesnt make it with a manual transmission. I think the RL is way nicer than the TL, then again when I bought the TL the old RL was still being sold. That car was an utter waste of money for the price. The new RL is lightyears ahead in quality, interior, performance, technology, and looks. If they made the RL in stick I would have traded up a long time ago. The RL has an interior worthy of an S class mercedes. I was far from flaming the car, you misunderstood what I said.

1. NO manual transmission
2. Power to weight ratio
3. Fuel Economy.
Sorry, man... I don't know why you're such a TL fan boy other than you dropped your hard earned dollars on it, but here's how it breaks down:
-It understeers like a mofo
-Torque steer is crazy not fun
-It's FWD
-Adding any more power to it makes the car drive worse, not better
So why try to mod it other than trying to make it aesthetically more pleasing? It's a nice commuter car. Enjoy.

The car doesnt torque steer. Unless I punch it going around a tight turn, in which case the cars limited slip pulls you in. I guess that would be considered alot of fun. I am a big time honda fan and supporter. I'm sorry but I have never been a fan of cosmetics vs performance.
I have owned
99 civic dx........very decent economy car, not performance.
02 civic si...........tons of fun very cool interior and awesome dash shifter
03 rsx type s...........Even more fun liked everything about it except the michelin tires it came with. Upgraded it to 17's=more fun
04 Acura TL.........Love the way it looks. Power and Killer sound system
05 s2000 .............Needs no introduction=chick magnet

the TL pulls the same numbers as the 3 on the skid pad. i do agree that fwd is not the best for all out handling, but it can be made to compete. its just one of those personal opinion discussions again. for me the TL is a no brainier. why pay bmw prices for cars that look like cartoons. chris bangle is killing bimmer one car at a time. the only one left was the 3, and now it too looks like some type of saturn. the new "m4" ugly as hell. but again its just people talking about what they prefer.
