Depending on price it will be my DD. 25k is almost too much. I dont think it's "old insight" small though. It will have rear bench for temporary ride. My toy will be some [insert 40-45k badass here].

My choice is wondering which one to buy first. There would have to be a 2yr difference between the two.

Whether we like it, hybrid/electric is the new wave. BMW will debut its Hybrid sports car in the near future. Ferrari's CEO already confirmed their first Hybrid, right?
I think it would make a nice daily. My problem is this freaking hole in the water I throw money into called a boat that makes me need something like my Outback to tow. But I would love to tool around in something fun that gets 40mpg. If I did not have the boat my daily now would be an RSX type S. Love that car. Can get 35, and quick enough to be entertaining. A daily does not need to do an 11 second quarter since most of the time you are stuck in traffic anyway.

As for which to buy first, I go with the CRZ. You may pay top dollar when they are new, but "top dollar" on a $25k car is generally not too bad. As for the toy, I used to buy everything new, but I changed my opinion on that. I bought this Honda as a leas return with about 11,000 miles on it after 36 months. It was perfect and I paid $20k for a practically brand new car. With Ebay and the internet, it now way to easy to find a high buck car with low miles but with the giant depreciation hit to someone else. Half the time it is "certified" and you still get a warranty. Easy way to save $30k on some cars. To me, thats real money. Saving even $10k is real money.

If all they are looking to do is better Toyota, then Honda has nothing to aim at.
