Tonneau cover fitment
Is yours new? When my car was new, it was a bear to get the thing on. No matter how hard I pulled, I could not get the snaps to even line up. No wonder people don't use the thing!! I didn't give up, however, and now I can do it in less than 30 seconds. It needs "break in" and stretch a little. Once you work it a few times, it becomes MUCH easier to do. Use it...the car looks so much better with it on.
I have found that it does get better with heat as well. Also, I do make sure that the little tabs are all the way down to solid metal before I give the cover a little yank backwards from the snap area so they stay in. I have driven on the freeway many times without any movement if I take the time to do it right.
I am having fitment issues. I have only owned the car for about 2 weeks. Having used it 3 times, it fit good twice, and not so well the third time. The rear tabs didn't wanna stay in place and the rear section kept popping up. The first two times it fit great. Is there any secrets to get it to fit better? The tabs (that hook it up to the roll bar area) were easier to get to the first two times as well, but the most recent time there was not much space to fit my hands. Any help is appreciated.
(I know this thread is REALLY old, but it was very close to the problems I was having.)
