If you are going to count that pile you have to put the corvette in the mix.
I take it you don't consider the Corvette to be one of the top ten roadsters available in the country? Ludicrous, but interesting.

Some might add the Viper to the list.

If you count the SLK, the Crossfire should be in since it's an SLK sib.
Panoz would round out ten as well and it's not a sib to anything else on the list.

I don't consider the 'vette to be a roadster, it's a convertible version of a car that was originally hard-topped. That automatically denies it roadster qualification in my book. You can't just cut the roof off a 2-seat coupe and call it a roadster:

-Ferrari 360/430
-Corvette
-Gallardo
-TT
-Crossfire
-Zonda
-350z
-etc. etc.

All great cars, but a roadster to me must have been conceived from the ground up without a roof, and never having a roof. Incidentally, that's the only kind of convertible I will ever buy . Roadsters are for top-down driving enthusiasts, convertibles are for posers .

I am not sure why you would assume that. The original list doesn't have the vette on it. I was mostly commenting on how thehell someone puts the cross-dresser, I mean cross-fire on the list and doesn't put the vette.

It all depends on how you define a "roadster". See this old thread:

I understand your thinking but what if, like the current Mustang and Corvette, it was designed as a convertible from the start?
