Toyota blows

hmmm... if you read that article it sound like one of mitsubishis workers quit and got hired at toyota "8 years of neglecting the recalls". all these companies try and hide it. It hurts their image too much, when really, 400,000 cars GLOBALLY isnt many at all considering how many they produce. At least they are recalling it, instead of companies like chrysler who make devices to stop a failing ball joint creating a fatal accident (take a look under a 2005 sebring, and you will see what im talkign about, failed ball joint at 39k miles. talk about quality control.)

I'd still buy a Toyota. What's a recall hurt anyway? It is when the problem repeatedly happens and the manufacturer stalls on fixing it (Ford).
I have yet to own a car that did not have a recall of some sort on it - including my old S2000.

Toyota is going down the drain. As a favor, I will buy ALL Toyota stock from anyone for $5.50 per share, just to save you from taking a loss in two weeks.

Every car manufacturer has vehicles recalled for repairs. Ever hear of the Ford F150, Honda S2000, or Porsche Cayanne? Remember when the Mercury minivans were recalled because someone at the factory used a blade to open boxes of radiator hoses?
That doesn't mean that the car manufacturer "blows".

I take recalls seriously if they are a serious issue. I had one on my old Alero for replacing the latch on the armrest compartment door because it could come loose in an accident and kill me. Big deal.
Though GM had some other model where they tried new engine mounts but did not properly test the mounts where they used road salt so motors were dropping out after about five years in the rust belt. Thats a more serious one.
If they got a serious one and the engine might blow up, I am fine with it if I get a free loaner for my trouble. As long as the company make me "whole" for the fix, I don't care that much.
The only ones that worry me are ones that include exploding gas tanks, (yes you old Pinto and older side saddle fuel GM trucks) or start fires when the car sits in the garage (gen III RX-7).

Toyotas suck so much! Man I guess I should know by now seeing I've had two Toyotas and three Lexus cars. Maybe I should go back and by another ultrareliable Mercedes because god knows I'm stupid.
