Track day fun in the Cayman GT4
Had a blast tracking my Cayman GT4 for the first time with a few other fellow GT4 owners in the LA area. (14 total).
I gotta say that the car absolutely shines in it's natural habitat. I did not notice any understeer or pushy characteristics. The gearing is tall but i have zero complaints about that. The car was a load of fun... almost effortless. The equipped Michelin Cup 2's just kept the car planted and composed. The Traction control remained on during the entire event and i felt no intervention from it throughout my sessions. Porsche definitely hit a home run with this car... I have a much deeper appreciation for what the car is capable of and many other owners that day echo'd the same sentiments.

Very cool! Glad you've gotten on the track now. It really is a blast.

You want to see owners of Porsches bring their cars to the track and blocking them, go to a POC event instead. It's like night and day compared with the PCA.

No understeer = not going fast enough!
These car doesn't have enough power where traction is an issue. At least not on Cup2's. You can "almost" mash on the gas coming out of corners like you do in the S2K without traction control on and it sticks like glue.
Stability control on the other hand is working in the background so well that you never feel it unless you screw up badly. But it is working a lot to help you out. You can tell clearly if you run with it on and off. With stability control on, the car just feels magically perfect and like you are the best driver in the world. With it off, it feels like a normal car (albeit very balanced one) that you need to correct for your tiny mistakes.
