Traded in the S2000
Wish you luck with the Cayman. My brother-in-law just got a Non S with the PDK. Had a Porsche in the past, they are OK if you are on a warranty plan as the maintenance will eat you up. No dip stick, major issue to change the oil. Old Wendelin Wiedeking was very good at squeezing every penny out of the system.
Give me some fine Japanese Engineering over German Engineering anytime. S2000, Miata and the 93-95 RX-7 (yes there are engine issues) are some of the best sport cars ever made.
Oh, and just have to have a drop top. Something about driving a nice curvy section with the top down, stereo playing, blue skies and the sun.

I agree The Cayman S is a class car in so many ways.I have a little more money now that I'm getting closer to retirement and last year was really looking at Porsches. Their quality, handling and looks have been getting better but I personally can't justify the cost.
Now that Honda has stopped making the s2000 my mind set has changed about the car.I always thought it was special but now I'm one of the
thousands that own one,not hundred thousands like Porsches.
Coupes are beautiful but my trip through the Painted Desert in AZ last week was wonderful because at sunset I had the top down and no coupe could replace that feeling of seeing the open sky of the Southwest.I'm guess I'm more of a roadster man and can also appreciate the beauty of the Cayman S but i also enjoy that every part on my s2000 is dedicated to the s2000 roadster
My only regret is that Honda really never improved their handling close
to a Porsche. There was a short time in the early days when the s2000
was better than Boxster but it was short. Congratulation on your purchase, it will turn heads.

You are going to love that car. I picked up my CS in January and it's been a wonderful daily driver and fun weekend car.
I've also driven three DE days with my local PCA, with the most recent one yesterday. I have huge respect for the Cayman's on-track behavior. It is just so confidence inspiring. I'm generally able to pass pretty much all Porsches in my run group bar late model 911 Turbos and GT3s. The confidence to charge hard through fast sweepers when drivers of more potent cars are more tentative is the critical factor. Feeling the Cayman move around in corners while howling its tires is not a scary thing. It reminds me of a Miata in this respect.

Thanks everyone!
I picked up the S2000 right after I moved to FL thinking I'd use the conv top all the time, but found myself never using it between the smoking hot weather and rain, etc, so part of the reason for the move was due to that.
Yes repair bills would be LARGE for this car out of warranty--that's why I'm doing a business lease and will most likely turn it in after the 3 years for something with a full warranty (probably another Porsche) ;-)
I dealt w/ Hennessy Porsche in Atlanta who worked out a great deal long distance (8% off msrp for this '11 that just arrived on their lot last week!) and they were reputable with everything. They have a huge inventory of Porsches in general, so they can probably discount more than most dealers
