Default Trying to make a decision?

07 GSXR-600, 07 R6, 07 ZX-600, 07 CBR-600. I had an 05 gsxr 600 and it got stolen, so I am in the market for a new bike. Just looking for personal opinions and refrences about the bikes. Also if anyone could let me know an e-mail adress to any of the dealers on Oahu I would appreciatre it. I am in Iraq and have a hard time locating any because of restricted access.

I'd look hard at the Triumph D675. It's in the same price range, lots more torque, and so sexy looking. I hear their triple sounds great as well.

If you're in the market for a supersport, definately check out the Triumph Daytona. Triples are excellent at making gobs of torque at low RPM and still pump out horsepower at high RPM. Not to mention fewer cylinders = less weight/rotational mass/fewer moving parts/narrower engine... you get the idea. The only real drawback is the MONDO aggressive seating position, but it weighs less and has more power/torque than anything under the 750 Gixxer.

Other than that, what kind of ride do you want? The new R6 has the most HP, but around town you'll want to keep the engine over 5 grand since it has NO low end power/torque. The CBR and Gixxer are pretty close, with the CBR traditionally being more "civil" than the Gixxer. I've got two riding buddies with the Gix and they love em. Then you've of course got the Kawasaki... go for the 636 if you go that route for the extra torque which makes it easier to live with in the city and adds miniscule amounts of weight. Your best bet of course is go to a stealer and sit on each one for about 15 minutes and see how they feel since most people wont let you test ride...

Hope this answer didnt get too lengthy... I've been riding for about 6 years now... most of which on a Triumph 955 which I (reluctantly) gave up for a 06 YZF-R1 (raven, of course!)

Its getting to cold to ride here at night. Take RUcrash advice and try sitting on the bikes, even better if you can ride each bike and compare them. Good luck. And KEKOA the bike scene must of gotten worse back home, with all the new out of high school riders and all the drama with the cops.

I definately think the R6 is pure "sexiness". I'm only 5'6" so, getting a bike that fits is also a concern. My 05 GSXR didn't have a lowering kit and it fit just fine.

Now all I need to do is get this deployment over and sit on some $9,000 bikes. I love to feel the power between my legs.

I will consider the Triumph for torque reasons. Tons easier to get that front wheel up in the air w/o popping the clutch.
