I was originally dissapointed that Acura did not increase the horsepower on the new TSX, but then I realized that Acura is not targeting the "more power" demographic on this one.
They are targeting people that want a fairly inexpensive, near-luxury car and don't want to pay for the gas mileage of a V6 or V8.
With gas prices (especially premium) going north of $4 per gallon, that demographic will grow rapidly.

It's looks like it has a huge dorky looking smile on it's face. Not impressed honda...
I actually thought the link was bad at first and it went to a new saturn....not honda.

And diesel Acuras. The TSX will have a diesel next year and Honda will introduce a diesel V6 in 2010. Already proven to get 50+ mpg in the Accord over there, so I'd expect no less than 43 mpg or so over here, with the tougher efficiency testing and bigger, heavier car.

This is probably a topic for another thread, but since someone mentioned diesel... someone school me on what the big deal is?? I passed a gas station the other day that had diesel for $4.09/gal when premium was in the low $3 range.
It's expensive, the fuel quality sucks (frozen fuel anyone), and it isn't clean, and the engines are boring... wooo 4k rpm redline! I don't see a 10% improvement in mpg as enough justification for any of this.
