I wish i had your problems.
you can. all you need to do is quit your job and finance about 80k for the GT-R and however much to boost your S2000

take the S.

Beautiful GTR, but take the S. No need to show off at a new job too early. Better to start under the radar.

Wow, this post is borderline inappropriate in this recession time. Well, it is an internet forum, so I guess it is fine.
You're right, it's an internet forum. One shouldn't have to suppress joy completely; just use discretion.

Congrats on the car.

i really dont like the GTr that much, but i dont understand why people always hate on the GTr tranny. if you put as much HP to the s2k tranny as the GTr puts to its tranny, it will break into pieces too. i have broken plenty of trannys at the track and i have pusted one apart on the interstate.

the tranny is not all that bad. its just like any Japanese car. WEAK drivetrain

I kindly request the op to post pics of his s2000 and gtr together. Would love to see that. And some interior pics of the gtr too.

One pic is not enough.

Not to sound like an a#% but is the pic of the S and the GTR on the first page taken in your Apt complex parking lot? If so why are you buying expensive cars and not a house in this economy? Buying a house is a far much better investment. If not thank god and congrats on the purchase its a very nice car.

Haven't been on here in a few days. To answer the questions, I took the GT-R on the first day to work. My new company has 3 building in the same office complex, and I parked my car close to the main one to attend orientation but didn';t want to start it up just to drive 2 blocks over to the programmer's building so I copped a ride with my new boss. He asked me what car I drove and I just pointed at it as we drove by. He freaked out and told me he was a dedicated Top Gear viewer and saw both of the episodes featuring the GT-R (Bullet train race and Stig test). I told him I'd give him a ride one day. That was pretty cool actually.

I have driven the S2000 twice this week and the GT-R twice. The GT-R (like some ther cars) allows you to connect your cell via bluetooth to the car and there is a phone button on the steering wheel that lets you make calls call using voice recognition. Asking my car to make phone calls for me without taking my hands off the wheel is just about the coolest thing I have done this week. I just love gadgets.

fun facts:

I have let several friends drive the car (believe it or not) and I ask them to floor it. No one ever does out of respect for me, so I change the display to show how far they have the accelerator pressed to try and inspire them.

The rear seats can't fit anybody over 2 feet tall.

The trunk is actually smaller than the S2000 trunk. I didn't realize this until after I had actually driven it home from the dealer. I was so happy, I forgot to inspect the trunk.

The built in GPS favors highways to the point of absurdity. It consistently tells me to go the long way and is clearly not as bright as my hand held Garmin Nuvi, but it is way more convenient having it built into the car.

Sometimes cars going in the opposite direction pull u-turns in the middle of the street just to pull up beside me for a closer look.

No one trys to race me at lights or on the highway. Completely different than the S2K where a challenge is a common occurence even after all these years.

The wiper blades are the coolest and quietest examples of blades I have ever seen on a car. Seriously, study the blades next time you see one.

Someone left a pair of 200$ Bill Blass sunglasses in the sunglasses holder over the rear view mirror. I now have really cool sunglasses.

The rear view mirror is autodimming. I guess this is normal on nice cars these days but I can't get over how I don't have to do anything about glare at night

I can't get better than 18 miles a gallon no matter how much I baby it. Having various cool ways to look at gas mileage consumption, including gas mileage history has -not surprisingly- not improved my mileage.

The car on mormal suspension settings has a stiffer ride than my S2k. On "comfy" it is just about the same as my s2k.

-- end fun facts--

To actually answer your question, that pic is of a nice town home complex I live in. Its not an apartment complex. The only drawback is although I have plenty of fine wood floors and a massive basement, there is no garage. I'm currently taking advantage of the low interest rates to refi the mortgage. Its a pretty good time to refi for anybody that can get a decent appraisal for their property. My next place will have a garage, but until then an overpriced form fitting GT-R cover is my best friend.
