Default Unitrin Direct Insurance?

Has anyone ever heard of these guys? They are giving me a rate that is significantly cheaper than anyone else. Are they any good?

Please remember that lots of "super cheap" insurance companies exist SOLELY to give people insurance cards so they can get their licenses renewed.

I would NOT put my faith in a cut rate company to FAIRLY settle your claims. Some of them just won't pay at all. This company isn't a big player, and I would have my doubts that they have the assets needed to pay all the claims to come up. For example, if you total your new S, they may give you like $15K and call it a day. That's the way lots of them behave...some just promise to pay and never do.

When you have an accident, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, not the insurance company. Ask yourself this: Do you want peace of mind for your car or do you just want the insurance card? Stay with a big player or one you KNOW treats you right.

They had an A+ rating for 2 of the active carriers listed in the BEST Guide. If your in NY the state is closely regulated and most auto policies have standard language. Co HQ is showing NY, NY & Chicago, not CA. Get a policy copy and read it before you purchase. Does CA have a guarentee fund to pay if this cairrer goes south?
