Power wise, yes. The whole package is more of a 'sidegrade.'

Wouldn't trade my S for my old EvoX MR back. It was a beast too. Just a different feel.

You're definitely not the only one. Very different cars, and a move from one to the other doesn't seem like a upward progression. Seems to me more like a choice for a different experience.

Imo there are only two paths to take to "upgrade" from an S2000.

Absolute Power - aka a C6
S2000 Plus - aka a Porsche Boxster S

There's also the lateral upgrade, "I need an S2000 sedan" - RX-8, but thats also the "I need worse mpg" change.

Everything else isn't an upgrade, its a change.

Well said. Far better than my attempt. I might add a 427 Shelby Cobra to the upgrade list though.

Would your really come out that far ahead by selling it and the mods? Maybe a few g's if you don't decide to mod the "new" vehicle. Just keep the S and STOP dumping more money into her until you finish school.

Glad I got off that train. Seems like all the guys that drive Gallardos around here are douchers.

I agree with everyone else in here Evo > Sti in terms of reliability, however it wouldn't meet your criteria in terms of gas mileage, it's not that great on gas and if you commute to school everyday the bill will pile up. Also it's hard to find a clean evo that hasn't been molested, and if you do find one it will be 25k+ for one with low mileage.

Your other option would be a g35, but in terms of performance and gas mileage it's a definite downgrade.
