they black flagged Montoya Because:
FIA rule, that you MUST be out of race car no more than 15 sec before roll off..i guess he was a few seconds late...FIA rules....
Im happy of course..pushes williams further back of BAR in constructors

Sato having to nearly come to a stop to get past the Ralph crash goes a long way to explaining how Michael retained the lead during his pit stop. That was a really smart move by the Ferrari team. (I also wonder if that's why the announcers thought Michael passed somebody under the yellow - the field possibly passed start/finish before Michael did, but because they were going so slow he got out to Turn 1 before they did. So he "passed" them in the pits.
)
Regarding Juan Pablo - I agree with the annoucers that the FIA letting him continue for nearly the entire race was dangerous and irresponsible. Just look at Ralph's day to see how dangerous racing is. If they guy had no chance to finish the race, bring him the heck in and don't put him and his car at risk.

i don't understand why people complain about schumy winning all the time. People, you are getting a rare opportunity to see THE BEST DRIVER EVER. 20 years from now you will be proudly telling your kids and grandkids stories about how you saw the great Michael Schumacher win the American Grand Prix. The guy is a machine. Just appreciate the brilliance because we won't have it forever.
That being said, he clearly cheated in this race

No doubt that shumi is a great driver. However, I would say he is the greatest driver in his era of F1. Just like Senna was in the late 80's, and Jual Manuel Fangio was in the 60's.
I don't think you can really compare the greatest drivers because there are so many variables involved. Many would argue that the guys in the 40's and 50's who drove unsafe cars, with poor aerodynamics at crazy speed are "greater" than guys with launch control, traction control, etc etc. you get my point

The point of the race is to win but when someone dominates the series like Shumy has, I wonder if its good for the sport, ie. The first place position has become the most boring to follow during the race.
