Default Useless Car trivia

So the Bug will do 253 MPH. Reading in CAR magazine..

At that speed it's getting ~2.3mpg. So it's 22 gal tank will last (full out) for for just 12 minutes (51 miles)

Holy cow how can such a heavy/powerful car have just 22 gas fuel tank? So you'd be stopping for gas every day

If you can afford a Veyron to drive everyday, then you can also afford to have a middle eastern oil pipeline running straight to your backyard refinery.

I read that, half-jokingly, that is how they prevent tire meltdown. If the tank were bigger the tires would be killed at extended-time top speed.

How long before someone kills themselves trying to hit top speed and Bugatti suffers a huge PR meltdown?

Then again...I doubt many people will be able to bring the car up to its top speed. I kind of think it's more of a bragging right than an actual performance feat.

at least you will travel 51 miles VERY quickly

having your own oil company will definitely help

The car gets about 10 mpg on normal city driving and 12-16 mpg hwy.
There are MANY supercars and high end exotics with similar gas consumption.

kind of like how Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini aren't around anymore because someone once died in their car?

10 and 12 to 16 is actually good for a 16cyl quad turbo monster (can't call this a car... that would be wrong)
