Default Very sad and shocked.

Yes, that's right. Shocked. Saddened.

I dropped by the Nissan dealer last night with my wife to look at the 350Z (just because she had yet to see one). Guess what? She likes the BACK END! Said it was like a PORSCHE! Sacrilege! Blasphemy! I nearly cried. I tried to persuade her otherwise but she was adamant - she likes it and says she'd definitely take one for a daily driver (if we could afford it). I've tried and tried to teach her and she's responded so well thus far - she seemed to have great taste in cars to this point. So sad.

I'm crushed.

P.S. Just to address any flamers, I like the front of the 350Z quite a bit but I can't stand the back end. This post is not a reflection on the car's performance, just its looks (in my opinion).

Nissan modeled the Z based on the Porsche, so I wouldn't be surprised?

I love everything up to the back of the doors. I hate the backend and tail lights.

I would start to consider owning one if they got rid of the airplane cargo hanger door handles. Those things are hideous.

When we had the 350Z Track as a loaner car, pretty much all my S2000 saw was 350Z taillight so it started to grow on me.

IMHO, the huge bulbous rear is its worst feature. Also dislike the cheapo storage bin (but hey, at least it has some!) with the $.02 lid. Dislike the IP and dash in general (ditto for all the G variants). Dislike the bathtub seating position which is all too common these days. Dislike a "track" model that for $8K over base is fundamentally no better. Also too heavy.

"Unmistakable Z DNA"? Don't know why every review mentions this. If I didn't know what it was, I wouldn't guess a Z.

Sounds like a lot? Nah, overall, it has it where it counts. Great price on lower models. Sweet engine. Excellent sports/GT. 9/10'ths of a 911 for 1/3 the price.
