well if u knew specs car than you would know its not an average stock S
Well, apparently I was talking about the N/A S2000, which most of the people on the forum own. That was our focus in this forum too, stock Z06 vs stock GT-R.

And of course I don't hope people to tc or sc their S for the sole purpose of trying to beat others on the street.

Yes, but that doesn't mean the GTR purchaser has any common sense.
The Z06 owner does?

People keep going with this BS.

You don't know me but as a future GTR owner all I'm going to say is that it doesn't matter what you drive, its how you act that defines you. I know of plenty of Corvette owners who are very nice and intelligent people but I also know the ignorant prick Vette owner bunch.

When I drove my S2000 did I worried about the guy next to me in the 350Z? No. I won't care about the guy in his Z06 with his hurt ego trying to race me while I drive my GTR (if it becomes the one I purchase).

So far all I've seen lately is a few of Corvette fanbois with hurt egos trying to bash the competition. Give it up already and accept that the Z06 is no longer the only great bang for your buck. Now we are getting more options, hopefully this will push both manufacturers to fix their shortcomings and raise the bar to those observing this market.

^ good post...I don't see how one car beating another car in a straight line shuts the fan boys up...if we get a video of a gtr beating a z06 around a track outside of the "ring" should they make a thread saying z06 fan boys where you at? The car has more power and less weight, who here is surprised the vette won? When that more power and less weight doesnt win on a road course that tells a bigger story...I also like neither car but respect their abilities and reasonable price tags

Does this mean the Z06 is also a better car than the GT3, 997 turbo, Gallardo, F430, and R8 because it's faster in a straight line? Being on an S2K site, I would think there are important things other than just straight-line speed.

This was to be expected. The GT-R traps a bit slower than the Z06 but more than makes up in twists and turns. The GT-R is just burdened with too much weight for it to be as fast as the Z06 while having not more power.

The Z06 would also smoke a stock GT3 and 911 turbo just as much as it does the GT-R in this video. But I'd take a GT3 or even regular 997 over a Z06 any weekday and twice on Sunday.

Based on what, exactly?

The GTR isn't a track car. Real track cars don't weight that much.
That is true.

But still it's able to beat the Z06 on ANY track (with the exception of drag strip). Show me a track where the Z06 has beaten the GT-R.

Are you serious? Based on many tests run on courses by the international automotive magazines, which includes in England, U.S., etc. Do a search! There are plenty.

Watch where the GT-R will place on Top Gear's track this Sunday, compared to the Z06.

On top of my mind alone, based on Willowbutton, VIR, Nordschlefe, some tracks in England, etc.

Yes, I am. And you provided a nebulous answer to my question.
