Thank you! Great vid.
Not sure what got up Clarkson's exit chute, but my friend's C6 Z06 seems pretty darn driveable on a day to day basis. The suspension is firmer and the tires are a bit noisier compared to the base model, but the car was much quieter and easier to cruise around in than I expected considering it's prodigious performance capabilities.
Only supercars I would think that might be a touch better on a day to day basis would be the 997 Turbo or the F430, though that F1 tranny would scare me regarding reliability long-term and cruising around town. Not even worth mentioning the less performance and much more money than the Z06 too.

I think it's just difficult for Jeremy to give props to any American car.
I also found it amazing that you can take off in 5th gear and go all the way up to 175!

I think maybe on horrible british roads it might be a little rough. This is just a guess, but they have very skinny pot-holey roads. Maybe cars developed for more of euro audience handle those kind of roads better...maybe he's just a wanker!!

The radio sucks. The steering wheel's on the wrong side. Tire noise is deafening. "As something to live with every day, I'd rather have bird flu".

Anyone who takes a Top Gear "review" seriously is an idiot. It's a purely subjective show, with the sole purpose of being entertaining and/or getting a reaction.
People flip out at things Clarkson says about cars, and usually have never seen him in action before. So they don't understand his style. It's like when he wrote one of his articles in the Sun about how he got his SLK55 and that he chose it over the S2000 because it's "only a Honda". So many people here were burning with anger, but they don't realize he was just joking. He's said on numerous occasions that he loves the S2000 and thinks it's one of the best sports cars you can buy.

Yeah, he raved about the s2000 and chose it over the Z4 and Boxter, and when they did the survey, he was praising how the s2k came out on top. Agreed, he hates American cars, but let's keep in mind that he loves to point out all the little things that break in Britain's beloved Land Rovers.
But yeah, like Euclid said, mostly subjective. However, I do find their overall opinions about cars close to 5th Gear which is more objective in their reviews. Simply put, the British, Germans, Japanese, and Americans all rate cars differently.
