If you don't know about the car, it's a 4motion Golf with 241hp. It's North American appearance still in debate...

I like it!

..Really annoying how there are always debates about bringing the truly interesting automobiles to the States.

I second that!

By the title of the thread I thought at first that this was going to be a picture of some riced out Volkswagen with Skyline GT-R badges all over the place with maybe a rear Syline tailight conversion.

No doubt it is a sweet looking car. And the performance numbers seem pretty solid, but...it is a $32k built on the chassis of the VW econo Golf.

If I had an extra $32k to spend it would be on a purpose-built sports car.

I think the 4motion is not real 4WD. It's just the same as TT and the rear only kicks in when it slips. So it will handle like a FF most of the time. I testdrove TT quattro and WRX and I prefer the real 4WD on WRX much better. I used to have golf and NB and I like the build quality. This new model is a very nice try and it's nice looking, but I still prefer a WRX comparing price/performance.

what bluedd said... I think 4motion is the achilles heel of this car. Otherwise I think it's a pretty cool car.
