Juat about any Ferrari at or near redline to me is the best sound. The old v-12 Ferrari's sound awesome at idle too. One of my other favorites are the older 5.0 mustangs with flowmasters and even stock. I have never heard a 426 hemi but after reading the comments hear I am curious to hear one.

As I mentioned earlier, my favorite sound to my ears is a Ferrari 355 w/ Tubi exhaust. Almost all Ferraris sound beautiful! My next choice would be any Porsche 911. Preferably an air-cooled (like my favorite 993).

And how could you not love the sound of a Formula 1 screaming past you? GO B.A.R.!!!

911 is a great sound also. My favorite is a 993. I had the chance to drive one last year and they sound great even from inside the cabin.
