What car offers the best combination of awd, mpg, and fun, for the money?

4,900 lbs, 503 HP, 465 lb/ft, 3.45 rear end, 7 speed automatic, 3 inches longer than an Escalade
Sure it does..........
Rolling downhill
11 city, 15 highway, 12 combined
Doesn't seem bad to me for a minivan that does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. What it lacks in fuel efficiency, it makes up for with the joy of surprising 370Z owners at stoplights.
Make that a stoplight on a wet road and Boss 302 / Camaro SS owners will be positively shocked at the minivan tail lights rocketing away from them in a straight line.
Also like an S Class in the first two rows. A Mini won't give you that level of comfort.
And the question was "the best combination of AWD, MPG, and fun. I'm stickin with the R63.

I'd go for a Subaru. Can get mid 20's mpg if you try. Much more fun to drive though and have some decent power!
I've averaged 23 mpg so far in my Legacy GT driving it fairly hard and 80 or so mph highway speeds. Also with lots of idling warming up and with winter gas. So not too bad I don't think.

My Audi S4, I can get 30mpg if I keep my foot off the gas pedal. Driving "normal" I get 23-24.

Except the awd version will be close to $50k... I know I didn't mention price originally, but for an extra $20-25k, who cares about mpg, right?
I think when looking at money, mpg, and fun, you end up with only two viable options.
Subaru WRX - more fun, less mpg
Mini Countryman - less fun, more mpg
There's also the Suzuki SX4, but with Suzuki leaving the market, that's not a viable option imo.

Look at the new merc CLA45, it looks promising.

You have to throw Legacy GT, Mitsu EVO in there as well. And hell, Impreza 2.5 too. Not everyone needs the power of the WRX. The mini doesnt have it.
