heh

so it is your first bike... lemme sound like everyone else... NO GIXXER 1000; that PARTICULAR liter bike has a unique power curve that will surprise noobs like you and me. a former r1 owner I know, who now has an r6, say that the 1k gixxer is pretty much the only bike that scares him... weird...

but uh... eating $H&% on a liter bike is not something that u can predict... a bad decision can happen in less than a second, AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE A CHOICE OR TIME TO THINK OR REACT

here are a couple of things that a 1k bike can SURPRISE you with:
-accidental wheelies, spurts of acceleration - if your pimphand twitches (even a little, maybe you will sneeze or hit a bump), it may stand up; as a noob, you will crap yourself, and not back off the gas / tap the rear brake - this may loop the bike
-"drifting" in a turn... sure it is fun in a car, but on a bike it takes SERIOUS skill; as you SHOULD know and be aware of at ALL times, a bike's tire has a contact patch of about a silver dollar; less in a turn (leaned over); that contact patch has the ability to accelerate/turn/stop... when you are in a turn and you open up a 1k, a LOT of power will start edging out cornering grip out of that contact patch equation >>> dOrIfTo, dawg!!! - for most noobs this can easily cause a lowside (lotsa roadrash)... the 600 will put less power down, so you can twist that handle in a turn with less BS

just some observations for ya...

Not sure if I had struck a deal.
Brand new black 2007 cbr 600rr out of box, no miles of any sort, $8500.

I'll keep updates on (if I do) anything.

Thats exactly the case.
I'd rather not pay 9500 for an 07', which is what they wanted origonally. Crazy enough, they want a used 07 for 8900.
I'm looking at an 07 out of the box, no miles. 1K difference or not, (whether it be dumb) ill probably shoot for it.

It is boldly noticeable to say they are over priced accross the board.
Then again, 07' never seen the street and they will settle less then msrp.
How much different would the 08 be from an 07?

Out the door IS 9500.
Had checked with my bank on a loan and they contacted for final amount.
Origonally OTD would have been 10672 something.

I may jump on this tomarro.

I don't know, sleep on it.

lol you getting rip bro. I got my 07 R6 April of 2007 for 9500 otd. The dealer brought the price down to 8500. I don't think you should jump on it, if you're going to spend 9500 you might as well get the 08. Man I'm piss now, fking dealer is playing you.

One of the dealer I stopped by last year quoted me $10,300 otd for the 07 R6 and said "you'll will not be able to find a better deal than this anywhere" and a whole lot of other BS. I almost sign the paper, but somehow I walked away. I call up a dealer 50 miles away from my house and asked for $10k otd, and this was the respond "well we are letting these baby go for $9600, but I'll take the $10k offer". I called another big dealer and told them "I got approved for a loan and ready to sign the paper if you can give me the R6 for 9500 otd I'll come in and pick it up in 30 minutes". The sale guy replied "wth, let do it".

I know and understand it is so hard to walk away. I was in the same situation as you are as in being so close to it and beside you are approved so all you have to do now is sign the paper. However, $1,000 is a lot of money. You can buy a lot of gears with that.

Straight up G-- damnit.
I bought the bike.

I really wish I took the time to sign in and see whats posted.
I didn't decide to take it home yet, being I drove my S and live far as hell from the dealer and had to be at work in an hour.

To make things worse, during work (hoping I herd a few things wrong), the dealer was offering me a battery for 150, a "trickle" charger for 30, and oil.
Firmly saying no, now i've got the thought im getting screwed out of a battery and oil.
IN other words, being sold a brand new 07 without battery and oil in it already.
I sure as fkng hope not

I feel humiliated, fooled and taken right now.
Should have waited

Im kinda happy I've got a bike, but unsure if I got royaly screwed.....
I may need assistance to boost my argument if I am screwed out of battery and oil.
Bad thing is, I signed all papers.

damnit

I'm speechless, you could have pick up an 08 for that price. I hope others read this and learn from your experience. You live and your learn, better luck next time bro.
