^^^ Go for it.
Just make sure you have financial support from a wife and 3 relatives as well. If I didn't have them backing me up right now, I'd probably have to declare bankruptcy.

FluKy, I have a feeling you're trying to be a sarcastic prick by pointing out my financial situation. If so, you're an asshole. If not, my bad for misinterpreting your sentiments.

Umar, one thing I dislike about the internet is I cannot add any tone, or real voice to the things I type and so on over the internet. I did not intend to point out your financial situation, it really seems like you got it going on ok to me. I kid about the pizza delivery job, for real my current job is janitor on a night shift. Woo right *rolls eyes*. I dont intend any harm to anyone, I cant even hurt a spider.

Okay, sorry about misinterpreting what you were saying. I assumed you were trying to discredit my purchasing a bike by pointing out that I work as a pizza delivery driver and therefore can't afford a bike.
Yeah, minimum wage sucks, but I am all right with it as long as I can continue getting an education and attaining loving support from my family.

I got the job on the 19th, and I can't hook it up, man. I have no say in who the manager hires.
He gave me a job because he's known me for a few years. I've been a customer of this same place for a while.

I own a 2010 Ninja 250... or atleast I bought it for my fiance. I'm the 1 that has been driving it the most. 60+ mpg driving agressively back and forth to work. Hits 90mph quickly - a little slow to break 100, but it will. Acceleration at highway speeds seems about equal to a stock S2000.
I also have a 2004 Aprilia Tuono. 1000cc and it has the same wheelbase, is 2 in. taller, and is only 25lbs heavier than the ninja 250. The ninja is a full size bike - or atleast 90+% full size.
The girl has decided she likes the Aprilia better. Originally, she thought it would be too much for her, but she got used to it. She had been riding small bikes and scooters for years before that though.
I'm planning on selling the Ninja now. I'll be sad to sell it. It is a very beautiful bike.

If this helps: When I drive the Aprilia, men compliment the bike. When I drive the Ninja, women compliment the bike.

Is it true the ninja 250 is not an ideal bike for the freeway? Let's say a daily commute of 80 miles round trip, all highway.

I've never ridden a small bike, started on a 700cc. My impression is that for a lot of highway use, I would want something heavier. Shouldn't get blown around as much, and will absorb bumps better. That is just my uneducated opinion, as I said, I have no experience with one.

I had an '03 Tuono for a while, and it weighed in at 464 lb. full of fuel, 434 lb. empty. No way a Ninja 250 weighs 410 lb! Surely the weight difference is more like 75 lb. than 25 lb.

I sold the Tuono and kept my 50 lb. lighter-weight SV650. I *loved* the Aprilia, but really wish it were smaller and lighter weight. That bike really feels BIG.
